AtomicHang

Privacy policy · Last updated: October 3, 2026

AtomicHang is a hangman game by Forjait (forjait.com). This policy explains what data the app and the daily challenge on the web use, why, and your choices. In short: no sign-up, no name, email or phone number (for the rankings, just a nickname you choose), and your progress is stored on your own phone.

Data kept on your phone

Your progress (level, words won and lost, streaks and the words already played, so they don't repeat), coins, Antimatter, plasma hearts, today's daily challenge (how it's going, if you left it halfway) and its streak, your ranking points, your nickname, your recovery code if you created one, whether you bought “Remove ads” or the welcome pack, language, the country you're from and the one you live in, slang packs, category, sound, vibration and daily reminder settings and the word list it downloads. They stay on your device, we don't have a copy, and they're deleted when you uninstall the app; “Reset progress” deletes your coins, levels, played words and streaks, but doesn't lower your ranking points.

To suggest your country the first time, the app looks at the phone's language and time zone: that happens on the phone and isn't sent. If you turn on the daily reminder, your own phone schedules it, without going through our server.

Data our server receives

To run the rankings, understand how the game is used and receive reports, the app identifies itself with a random anonymous code created the first time you open it (not linked to your name, account, phone number or advertising ID) and sends:

Words, the game's settings and the daily challenge word are downloaded without that code, giving the language and, for your country's challenge, the country (if you live in another country, the challenge takes turns between both).

Like any web server, ours processes your IP address to respond, prevent abuse and in short-lived technical logs. We don't use it to identify you.

The daily challenge on the web

The daily challenge can also be played in the browser, at juegos.forjait.com/atomichang/en, with nothing to install. The page uses no cookies and no ads and doesn't ask for a nickname. It keeps in your browser (in its local storage) the day's challenge and result, your streak and stats, the country you picked and an anonymous code. To suggest your country it looks at the browser's language and time zone, without sending them.

With that anonymous code, the page sends our server: the platform ("web"), its version, the browser's language and the country you picked; the days you open it; your daily challenge result (how many misses you had or whether you were hanged); and when the buttons to get the app are shown or tapped, which we keep only as daily totals. With the results we show how everyone and each country did that day, as totals and averages, with no names. The page's font comes from Google Fonts and, on Windows, the flags come from jsDelivr, so those services receive your IP address when they're downloaded.

Rankings

Every player appears on the game's rankings (world, their country and their friends) with their nickname, country and points, which other players can see. The game asks for a nickname before your first game; don't use your real name if you'd rather not. Nicknames are checked: offensive ones are refused, and any player can report one, which we may delete. To leave the rankings, use Settings → Delete my data.

Recovering your nickname

If you reinstall the game or change phones, you can get your nickname, points and friends back. On the same phone, the game recognizes it through an encrypted fingerprint of the identifier Android or iOS gives the app on that phone. On another phone, you get them back with a recovery code: we keep only a fingerprint of the code, not the code. If you send it to yourself by WhatsApp or email, that happens on your phone and we don't see where you send it. The code keeps working until you create a new one.

Purchases

You can buy Antimatter, the welcome pack and “Remove ads” in the game. They're optional: the whole game can be played without paying. Payment is handled by Google Play with your Google account or, on iPhone, by the App Store with your Apple account; we never see your card or payment details, only the purchase receipt.

If you change or lose your phone

Your progress, coins, hearts and Antimatter, including the Antimatter you bought, are kept only on your phone: we don't have a copy. If you uninstall the game, clear its data, reset the phone, lose it or change it, they're lost and we can't give them back. Only these come back:

Keep your recovery code. Only you have it: we keep a fingerprint that can't be used to see it or create it again. If you lose it and change phones, we can't check that the nickname is yours and we don't guarantee getting it back. Don't share it either: whoever has it can take your nickname, points and friends to their phone.

Refunds are requested from Google Play or Apple, under their policies. This doesn't limit the rights your country's consumer law gives you.

Ads

The app shows ads from Google AdMob: some between levels (unless you buy “Remove ads”), and others you choose to watch for a reward (a help with the word, a heart or Antimatter). Google may collect the device advertising ID, IP address and technical data to serve and measure ads and prevent fraud. Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area and the UK), the app asks for your consent through Google's tool before using personalized ads. Learn more about how Google uses data in advertising. Where it applies, you can change your consent in Settings → Ad privacy options, and reset or limit your advertising ID in your phone settings.

What we use it for

To run the game (new words, the daily challenge, how your country did, your country's slang, the rankings and recovering your nickname), verify purchases, fix reported words, know how many people play and from which countries, learn how the game's promotions do and fund the app with ads and purchases. We don't sell your data or share it with anyone other than Google for ads.

How long we keep it

Data tied to the anonymous code is kept while the game is active and, apart from the rankings, only used in aggregate; reports, which we review one by one, are kept with it. Purchase receipts are kept as long as accounting and refunds require. Uninstalling the app deletes the code from your phone, but your nickname, points and friends stay on the rankings so you can get them back; if you don't want them to stay, use “Delete my data” before uninstalling.

Your choices

You can delete your data at any time (see How to delete your data), erase your progress with “Reset progress” in Settings, turn off the daily reminder in Settings or stop sending data by uninstalling the app. For any question, email atomic.juegos@forjait.com.

How to delete your data

What is kept: the daily totals of the promotions, which hold no data about you; purchase receipts, with no link to your install, for accounting and refunds; and the server's technical logs, which are deleted automatically within a few weeks. If you can't use the button, email atomic.juegos@forjait.com.

Children

AtomicHang is not directed to children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll publish the new version on this page with its update date.
